London Wasps winger James Bailey is not expected to feature for the Aviva Premiership club again this season after breaking his leg against Northampton Saints last Friday.
Wasps boss David Young confirmed that former Gloucester player Bailey has undergone surgery after being stretchered off just 15 minutes into his side's 24-6 loss at Franklin's Gardens which was his debut for the club.
"We all know how hard he has worked over the summer months to get back to fitness after a shoulder injury he had in France, so everyone really feels for him," Young said.
Wasps play host to Worcester Warriors at Adams Park on Sunday looking for what would be just their second win of the campaign.
