Wasps and England back-rower James Haskell has received a retrospective yellow card following their match with Saracens at the weekend.

The yellow card relates to his tackle on Alastair Hargreaves in the second-half. The referee opted to use the TMO to aid his decision on the tackle, which forced Hargreaves off the field, and while the TMO admitted that there was foul play, only a penalty was awarded with the referee opting against showing Haskell a yellow card.

But Haskell has now received a written warning for the level one citing and the sanction will go on his record as a yellow card. If Haskell were to accrue two more yellow cards he would face an automatic disciplinary hearing, as England team-mate Chris Ashton did last week.

Ashton received a one-match ban for receiving three yellow cards - the third of which was applied retrospectively - ruling him out of England's autumn international with Fiji on Saturday.
