Northampton Saints are set to lose two of their premier props to the Top 14 at the end of the season, according to reports.

Soane Tonga'uiha has been heavily linked with a switch to Racing Metro - a deal that seems to be moving closer to completion - and The Times reports that Brian Mujati is set to follow in his footsteps. If both props do opt to move cross-Channel, then it will leave Saints boss Jim Mallinder with a massive hole to plug in his front-row.

The pair have been two of the Aviva Premiership's standout front-rowers over the past couple of seasons. Tonga'uiha joined the Saints back in 2006 and has since played 192 games for the Premiership side. He came close to leaving the Saints in the past when he agreed a switch to Saracens back in 2010, only to later have a change of heart.

Mujati linked up with the Saints in 2009 and has established a reputation as one of the Premiership's most fearsome tight-heads. Paul Doran-Jones, another option at tight-head for the Saints, is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a switch to Wasps or Harlequins, but The Times claims that Mallinder will now step up attempts to keep the four-cap international at Franklin's Gardens.

And the newspaper also claims that Mallinder has lined up England prop Alex Corbisiero as a replacement for Tonga'uiha. Premiership clubs are only allowed to discuss moves for other top-flight players in January, so any move will have to wait until then.
