London Irish have suspended Chris Hala'ufia for six weeks following the Tongan's citing against Racing Metro.
The club also imposed an undisclosed fine to be donated to charity for the incident in the Heineken Cup clash on December 10. The 33-year-old was cited for a challenge on Racing fullback Gaetan Germain and could face a further ban from the ERC.
Hala'ufia only recently returned from a seven-week ban for a high tackle earlier in the season and has been banned four times in the past two years.
