  • Leeds have handed a lifeline to Gloucester wing Semi Tadulala, signing the Fiji international on a two-year deal.

The former rugby league star, who played for Wakefield and Bradford in Super League, appeared in only two Anglo-Welsh games for the Cherry and Whites last season after making his Test bow against Romania in November.

"Semi is a strong and powerful runner who has shown throughout his rugby league career that he knows his way to the try line," Leeds boss Andy Key said. "Unfortunately things did not work out for him at Gloucester but we have spoken to him and he has a burning desire to succeed in rugby union. He is an experienced player who has represented his country at both codes and will be a big addition to our squad for next season."

  • Wales international lock Ian Evans has signed a new three-year contract with Magners League champions the Ospreys. Evans, 25, has been plagued by injury problems during the past 18 months, but his new deal will see him remain at the Liberty Stadium until at least 2013.
