Rupeni Nasiga is a versatile Fijian lock who can also play at flanker or No.8.
Nasiga made his international debut as a 22-year-old in June 2008, coming on as a replacement in a defeat by Tonga. However, it would be just under two years before he was called upon again, Nasiga's exile ended when he was sprung from the bench in Fiji's defeat by Australia in Canberra in June 2010.
He made his first start the following weekend, in the Pacific Nations Cup clash with Japan. Nasiga was not included in his country's end-of-year tour of Europe but he forced his way back into the reckoning for a place in the World Cup by collecting starts against Samoa and then New Zealand in July 2011.
