Profile

Nemia Kenatale Ranuku is a lively scrum-half who has nailed down a regular place in the Fiji squad over the past 12 months.

Ranuku's breakthrough year came in 2008 when his fine form with the Knights and Tailevu earned him a place in the Fiji Barbarians squad for the Pacific Rugby Cup. He was then included in the Fiji A side which faced the Waratahs in Lautoka.

Ranuku made his Test debut as a replacement in a win over Japan in June 2008 while his first start for his country came against the same opposition in Suva the following summer, marking the occasion with a try for good measure.

He wore the No.9 jersey three times during the autumnal tour of Europe in 2010, including their famous draw with Wales in Cardiff, and further underlined his status as Fiji's first-choice scrum-half with a try in their summer 2011 defeat by New Zealand in Dunedin.
