Wales have called Scarlets fullback Morgan Stoddart in to their squad for the November internationals as cover for his injured team-mate Mark Jones.

Jones picked up a knee injury during training and has been ruled out of Tests against New Zealand, Samoa, Argentina and Australia.

Stoddart has been struggling with injuries in recent months and won the last of his international caps against Canada at the Millennium Stadium in 2008.

He will join the squad on Thursday before being released to play for the Scarlets in their Anglo-Welsh Cup showdown against Harlequins on Sunday.

"Morgan is an intelligent attacking player who will provide cover for us across the back three," said Wales skills coach Rob Howley.

"He is a player we know very well, and just as importantly he knows our squad environment very well. He should be able to slot into things fairly quickly."
