Jeremy Davidson was a second-row forward for Ireland and played in the British & Irish Lions' series victory over South Africa in 1997. In his club career he represented Dungannon, London Irish and Castres Olympique and he made his Test debut in 1995 in Ireland's 44-8 defeat of Fiji at Lansdowne Road.
His moment of glory on the international stage was on the Lions tour in 1997 where he started all three Tests and was voted players' player of the tour. In the first Test Davidson was particularly impressive in the line-out and had an excellent work-rate throughout the Tests.
In 1999 he played in three matches for Ireland at the World Cup and made his final appearance for his country at Murrayfield in 2001 in a 32-10 reverse in the Six Nations. In 2001 he was selected for the Lions tour of Australia but did not play in any of the Tests.
Since he moved to France he is now fluent in French and has enjoyed stints as Director of Rugby at Dungannon and a coaching role at Castres.
