ITM Cup

The ITM Cup is the latest incarnation of New Zealand's National Provincial Competition (NPC). Formerly known as the Air New Zealand Cup, the competition boasts 14 club sides that compete in a 13-week season with every team facing each other once. The top four teams will advance to the semi-finals and the winners from each semi-final clash goes on to compete for the title. .

The Ranfurly Shield maintains its special place within the ITM Cup, with the holder putting the Shield up at all home games in the round robin stage.
