Reports from France suggest Jamie Heaslip will follow in the footsteps of Sean O'Brien and reject the advances of Toulon to stay in Ireland with Leinster.
Midi Olympique claims the Irishman has 'said no' to a move to the south of France, despite meeting with Toulon officials over the festive period with a view to a possible move. Leinster and the IRFU pulled off quite a coup in convincing O'Brien to stay with his province last week and it would be a further boost if they have managed it again with Heaslip.
Last week Leinster CEO Michael Dawson confirmed there would be news on Heaslip at some stage in the coming days. Midi Olympique, which broke the news of Jonny Sexton's move to Racing Metro last year, goes on to report that Heaslip will pen a new two-year deal with the IRFU later this week.
