  • Waikato hooker Aled de Malmanche has been called up to the New Zealand squad as cover for Canterbury's Corey Flynn.

Flynn scored a try in the All Blacks' victory over Italy on Saturday but suffered a hamstring strain during training on Monday. The All Blacks are hopeful that Flynn will recover to at least make the bench for Saurday's showdown with England, but nevertheless called 25-year-old De Malmanche away from holiday in Bali.

"We are hopeful that Corey will recover but, as we have time on our side, we have called in Aled," said head coach Graham Henry. "We will wait and see how Corey goes this week before making a final decision."

Meanwhile, an X-ray has confirmed winger Ben Smith had not fractured his thumb.

  • The Stormers have announced their coaching structure for the 2010 Super 14. Rassie Erasmus will continue as senior professional coach, with Allister Coetzee retaining a more hands-on role as head coach following a successful Currie Cup with Western Province.

Former Springbok centre Robbie Fleck will take charge of the backs, Matthew Proudfoot the forwards and Jacques Nienaber the defence.
