1999 The All Blacks had already claimed the title ahead of that autumn's Rugby World Cup in Wales, which was famously won by John Eales and the Wallabies. In Sydney, Matt Burke weighed in with seven penalties to ensure victory for the men in gold after lock Mark Connors had scored their only try.
