Rogers won 34 caps for England between 1961-69, captaining his country on seven occasions, and also toured South Africa with the British Lions in 1962 earning two further Test caps.
The Bedford flanker became the first English player to be honoured by the Queen when he was awarded an OBE in 1969. In his last match he led Bedford to a Knock-Out Cup final victory over Rosslyn Park at Twickenham in 1975. He later served as chairman of England's selectors, England team manager and RFU president.
