The Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is a brand new stadium that is being built in Port Elizabeth for the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa.

In 2009 the British and Irish Lions will take on the Southern Kings at the stadium, which will draw its players from the Eastern Cape and Border regions. The area traditionally boasts strong South African sporting talent at youth level but is a region which has struggled at senior level.

The stadium is expected to have a capacity exceeding 50,000.
