Wales and British & Irish Lions prop Gethin Jenkins has called for Warren Gatland to lead the Lions on their tour of Australia in 2013.
The 31-year-old has worked under Gatland since he took charge of Wales back in 2008 and also in South Africa on the Lions' last tour. With Wales on the brink of another Grand Slam, Jenkins believes the 48-year-old Kiwi is the ideal man to coach the Lions when they journey to the southern hemisphere next year.
Gatland was part of Sir Ian McGeechan's coaching set-up three years ago and Jenkins claims the former Wasps coach has the credentials for the post. "I think it would be great if he gets it (Lions job)," Jenkins said. "He did a great job on the last tour. He is a great coach and he has got the credentials for it.
"It was pretty old school on the last tour. We had some good enjoyment, but it was very serious at the same time."
