Chiefs sign Tasman winger
October 3, 2013
Dynamic try-scoring Tasman winger James Lowe has signed with back-to-back Super Rugby champions the Chiefs until 2015. The 21-year-old has been in outstanding form in this year's national provincial rugby championship, scoring five tries for Tasman.
Chiefs coach Dave Rennie says Lowe's season has been impressive. "He's quick, powerful and adds a point of difference to our backline. He is a quality young man and we're looking forward to working with him." Lowe says his decision to move north to the Chiefs came despite interest from a number of other franchises.
He has played 14 games for Tasman since making his debut for the Makos against Canterbury in 2012.
