Highlanders call for Poki

Tasman back Kade Poki has been added to the Highlanders Super 15 rugby squad as injury cover.
Former Crusaders winger Poki, 22, will cover for injured backs Kurt Baker and James Paterson and will be with the squad until at least March. A former national age group star, Poki was hampered by a hamstring strain last season and did not get a lot of playing time for the Crusaders.
Baker has a back injury and has been ordered to rest until a further assessment next month while Paterson broke his leg in one of the final matches of the season for Southland.
Paterson is expected to be available at the start of the inaugural Super 15 but there is less confidence surrounding Baker, according to the Otago Daily Times.
