Italy boss Jacques Brunel has recruited former France international Philippe Berot as their new backs coach. Berot replaces Alessandro Troncon and has had spells with Castres and Romania during the 2007 World Cup. With Berot looking after the backs, Brunel will take charge of the forwards with previous coach Carlo Orlandi departing. In other Italian news, Viadana have failed in their bid to become Italy's second team in the RaboDirect PRO12. Aironi will leave the league this summer due to financial problems and the Italian Rugby Federation have opted to launch a franchise of their own, rather than handing the spot to an existing club. © ESPN EMEA Ltd
