World Cup bolter Ken Owens is yet to be capped by Wales but with Matthew Rees and Richard Hibbard forced to pull out due to injury, Owens looks set to play a key role in the hooker department.
Owens had previously benefitted from playing second fiddle to Rees at the Scarlets taking advantage of the time when the sometimes Welsh captain was away on international duty. Aged just 24 and with nearly 100 appearances for the Scarlets to his name, Owens is battle-hardened enough to vie with the best of them.
Owens only played one match during the 2011 World Cup but with more injuries in the hooker department, he played in four of the five matches in the 2012 Six Nations.
