Ivan Francescato was an Italian international who died tragically at the age of 33 in 1999. A centre, he played 38 times for the Azzurri scoring 16 tries.
Francescato spent his entire club career with Benetton Treviso where he won four Italian Championships in 1989,1992, 1997 and 1998. He made his international debut against Romania in 1990 and played in the following year's World Cup scoring a superb try against the United States.
