Ireland and Munster scrum-half Peter Stringer is set to join Saracens on a three-month loan. The 33-year-old, who has won 98 caps for Ireland, is anxious to find first-team rugby after dropping down the pecking order for Munster. And he is set to provide cover for Sarries who are currently without injured scrum-halves Neil de Cock and Richard Wigglesworth. "I believe I still have a lot to offer and want to continue to play at the highest level," he told Munster's website. "In the situation I currently find myself, that is outside the Munster match day squad, I think this temporary switch to Saracens will serve my ambition best. "This offers me a new challenge, and I'm grateful to Munster management for their co-operation." Munster director of coaching Tony McGahan said: "We recognise the situation Peter finds himself in, are happy to accommodate this short-term arrangement and wish Peter well." Wigglesworth is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury while de Kock is sidelined for two to three months with a fractured arm. © ESPN EMEA Ltd
