Dax host Rovigo on Friday night, with the French side looking for their first win in the European Challenge Cup this season.
Thomas Lievremont's men were humbled 24-11 by the Italian side in October, and given Dax's current struggle in the Top14 the visitors may fancy another shot at an upset.
Dax have named Nicolas Morlaes and Maxime Petitjean at half-back, while Samoa international Gavin Williams starts at outside-centre. Williams' fellow Samoan Kane Thompson starts at No.8, and will have plenty to contend with in his opposite number, 15-times capped All Black Ron Cribb.
