Perpignan fullback Jerome Porical has warned the French champions' rivals that their 20-14 victory over Stade Francais "was a sign of things to come."

The victory was the Catalans' first away game from home since their disastrous Heineken Cup loss to Benetton Treviso.

"We were looking to do something like this away from home," said Porical, who contributed 15 of his side's points including a well-worked try. "We were prepared for a huge game and I think [the performance] was a reference for everyone."

Porical said that Perpignan had responded positively to playing at the Stade de France, scene of their French championship success back in June.

"Yeah, you could say that it's a ground that always works well for us. It's always a pleasure to play big matches here in front of 80,000 people. We're delighted."

Meanwhile, Toulouse continued their recent surge in form with a well-earned 23-3 victory over Biarritz at Stade Ernest Wallon.

Recent recruit Louis Picamoles excelled for Les Toulousains from the blindside flank, a position the 23 year-old No.8 admitted afterwards he has not played in since his school days.

"We played more like two seven and a halves," joked Picamoles, referring to the shared workload with Toulouse No.8 Shaun Sowerby during the match.

But the experiment will have impressed France coach Marc Lièvremont, who is still to decide who will form his backrow for the autumn internationals alongside Toulouse captain Thierry Dusautoir and Biarritz' Imanol Harinordoquay - two players who also excelled during the match.

"If I get picked by France, it will be the cherry on the cake," added Picamoles. "But I haven't thought ahead much to the announcement on Wednesday."

"I don't care what position they want me in. If they call me, I'll be proud to play anywhere."
