France will be without Morgan Parra for their Six Nations match against France on March 8 after the scrum-half was handed a two-week ban.
Parra's ban follows the red card he was shown at the weekend for his head-butt on Rene Ranger. The news will come as a blow for France as Philippe Saint-Andre had recalled Parra to the squad ahead of their next match against Scotland.
Parra was expected to vie with Maxime Machenaud for the scrum-half berth but Saint-Andre will now look elsewhere. Parra and Clermont have opted not to appeal the suspension.
