Profile

Prop Benoit Lecouls rejoined Toulouse for the 2008-09 season having spent four years with Biarritz Olympique. Before his first stint with Toulouse he played for Agen.

Lecouls' appearances in the Heineken Cup against Bath and Newport Gwent Dragons in autumn 2008 took him past 50 in the competition for his three clubs since he made his European debut for Agen against Caerphilly in October 2000. Over time he has tended to be used more as tighthead than a loosehead.

Lecouls made his Test debut aged 30 on tour against Australia in June 2008, and earned three more caps in the November 2008 Tests against Argentina, the Pacific Islanders and Australia.
