Profile

Ospreys youngster Prydie made history during the 2009-10 season when he came on as a replacement in his side's Heineken Cup victory over Viadana to make his senior bow at the age of 17 years and 293 days. In the process he became the youngest player ever to have featured in Europe's premier club competition.

Fast-tracked through the Ospreys age-grade system after catching the eye of Director of Coaching Scott Johnson, the fullback was rewarded further with a shock call up to Wales' squad for the 2010 Six Nations Championship. He became Wales' youngest international against Italy in the final game of the Championship and retained his place, scoring his debut try, against South Africa later in the year. He also toured New Zealand and appeared in both Tests against the All Blacks during which time his international cap tally exceeded his number of Ospreys appearances.

Prydie played for the Wales Under-18's during the 2008-09 season, winning five caps and scoring 62 points. He was handed a full-time Ospreys Academy contract in the summer of 2008.
