Thierry Lacroix is a former French fly-half who played 43 Tests for his country and was the top points scorer at the 1995 World Cup when France finished third in the tournament.
After impressing for his club side Dax, he made his Test debut as a replacement against Australia in Strasbourg in 1989 and played in two World Cups as well as winning the Five Nations Championship in 1993. At the 1995 World Cup, Lacroix scored 112 points to become the highest-points scorer in the tournament as France beat England in the third-place play-off in Pretoria.
Once the sport turned professional, Lacroix went to ply his trade in South Africa and helped the Natal Sharks to win two Currie Cups. He then enjoyed spells in England with Harlequins and Saracens before finishing his career back in France with Perpignan. In retirement Lacroix commentates on rugby for French television and is also a qualified physiotherapist.
