Leigh Halfpenny's switch to Toulon is reportedly close to being confirmed with the fullback set to earn in the region of €480,000 (£395,000) a year at the Top 14 giants.
Reports in the French press say Halfpenny is expected to sign the deal in the coming days and he will link-up with Jonny Wilkinson at Toulon, who is reportedly on the verge of extending his career by a further year.
Halfpenny is one of a number of Welsh players whose contracts are up at the end of the season with the futures of Alun-Wyn Jones, Adam Jones, Sam Warburton, Rhys Priestland and Scott Williams still yet to be confirmed.
