England fly-half Toby Flood is reportedly attracting interest from Clermont Auvergne, Toulon and Toulouse.
Flood's contract is up at the end of the season and has recently said he is in no rush to make a decision regarding where he will play his rugby next term. He will captain the Tigers this season and Leicester will want to keep their first choice fly-half.
But it looks like they will face a battle to keep hold of their prize No.10. Toulon's Jonny Wilkinson is expected to retire at the end of the current campaign and according to reports on Rugbyrama, they have identified his former England and Newcastle Falcons team-mate Flood as a potential replacement. If he moved to Toulon then he would also link-up with ex-Falcons colleague Carl Hayman.
Toulouse are also reportedly looking for a new fly-half ahead of next season with Luke McAlister and Lionel Beauxis both in the final year of their contracts and yet to sign new deals. Clermont's Brock James' future is also uncertain and so they too have been linked with Flood in the French press.
While the three clubs are planning for next season already - Clermont are also reportedly monitoring Jamie Heaslip and Sean O'Brien - Toulon have bolstered their ranks for the current campaign. Juan Smith was in Toulon on Tuesday to put pen to paper on a one-year deal with the Heineken Cup champions and he is relishing the chance to turn out for Mourad Boudjellal's side.
"It's great for me to sign for Toulon as I have friends at the club. Coming here was an easy decision to make," Smith said. "I am ready to get playing now and it is up to the coaches for when they decide to pick me."
