Scotland prop Euan Murray has joined French Top 14 side Agen on a three-month loan from Newcastle Falcons.

The 32-year-old joins Agen as short-term injury cover for South African Gert Muller who recently underwent an ankle operation.

Murray, who has won 47 caps for Scotland and played for Newcastle last season following spells with Glasgow and Northampton, arrived in south-western France on Friday and his contract with the French team will expire at the end of November.
