Bristol secured a 25-14 bonus point victory over Montpellier in their European Challenge Cup Pool 2 clash at the Memorial Ground but it was not enough to see them progress to the quarter-finals.

Winger David Lemi, scrum-half Shaun Perry, prop Mark Irish and replacement forward Redford Pennycook all touched down for the hosts with fly-half Ed Barnes adding two conversions and two penalties.

Montpellier fly-half Francois Trinh-Duc scored his side's first try with flanker Jérome Vallée adding another with his No.10 convertin both scores.
