McNamara picks Roosters over Bath
December 13, 2013
The Sydney Roosters have brought in England rugby league coach Steve McNamara, an announcement that brings to an end speculation linking him with Bath.
Bath dismissed director of rugby Gary Gold on Monday and McNamara had been linked with an attack coach role at the club. Those rumours had added weight as Bath head coach Mike Ford knows McNamara well from his rugby league background.
But reports in the Sydney Morning Herald claim McNamara has agreed to a post with the Roosters in the NRL though it is unclear whether he will continue in his role with England.
