London Welsh fined for fielding illegal player
September 4, 2013
London Welsh have been fined £8,500 (€10,000) by European Rugby Cup for fielding Tyson Keats in last season's Amlin Cup.
Keats played against Stade Francais but was not registered in the club's tournament squad.
Last season ex-London Welsh team manager Mike Scott was banned for life from rugby union for falsifying documents to make it appear that New Zealander Keats was in fact English.
