London Welsh hooker Neil Briggs has been cited for alleged foul play and will face a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday night.
Briggs was reported by independent citing officer John Byett for punching or striking Harlequins winger Sam Smith during last Sunday's Aviva Premiership game at the Kassam Stadium, which Quins won 31-26.
The case will be heard by a three-man RFU panel under the chairmanship of Jeremy Summers.
