Gloucester boss Bryan Redpath has poured cold water on suggestions he is set to switch clubs and take charge at the Sale Sharks.
Sale supremo Steve Diamond has said that they have identified their man and he is set to be unveiled as their new director of rugby in the coming weeks. One name in the frame to replace Tony Hanks was Redpath - along with Jim Mallinder, Brian Ashton and Dai Young - but the Gloucester coach is quoted as saying that he is keen on staying at Kingsholm.
Redpath told The Times: "I have got two years left on my contract [at Kingsholm] and I'm going nowhere."
The notion of him staying at Kingsholm is backed up by The Gloucester Citizen. But while Redpath seems set to stay at Gloucester, the Daily Mail, in contrast, has reported that he will swap the Aviva Premiership side for a role at the Sharks.
The newspaper writes that Redpath "is understood to have agreed terms to join his former club Sale as director of rugby this summer. However, he has another year left on his contract and his employers are thought to be unaware of his prospective departure".
