England prop Tim Payne will miss Wasps' opening Heineken Cup games against Toulouse and Glasgow after collecting a two-week ban. Payne received a week's suspension for stamping on Gloucester lock Jim Hamilton during the Aviva Premiership clash at Kingsholm last month, and another week for striking Hamilton's team-mate Brett Deacon in the same match. Payne pleaded guilty at a Rugby Football Union disciplinary hearing in Swindon. He must now sit out Wasps' trip to reigning European champions Toulouse next Sunday, plus the home game against Glasgow seven days later. Back-row forward Deacon, meanwhile, admitted striking Payne and was banned for a week. A citing of Exeter prop Chris Budgen for striking Harlequins full-back Mike Brown in a league fixture 10 days ago was dismissed. © ESPN EMEA Ltd
