Profile

Joe Gray has established himself as joint first-choice hooker at Harlequins alongside Chris Brooker.

Gray started his career with Nottingham before switching to the Northampton Saints for the 2007-08 season while playing for the England U20 side. But injury disrupted his early years and he switched to Harlequins in time for the 2010-11 season. After a series of impressive performances, including starting in their Amlin Challenge Cup final with Stade Francais, he was then awarded his first England Saxons start in June 2011 in the Churchill Cup.

Come the 2011-12 season, Gray vied with Brooker for the hooker spot and was a constant feature in the side throughout the campaign.
