A powerful and versatile back who can play at fullback or on the wing, Jack Cuthbert is rated as one of the most promising young players Scotland has produced in recent years.
Cuthbert came through the Bath academy and made 13 appearances for the first team in the 2009-10 season, scoring a try against Northampton Saints and kicking 28 points in four games.
During the 2010-11 season he increasingly ousted Nick Abendanon from the fullback position, becoming a regular member of the Bath backline, and signed a new deal with the club at the start of 2011.
He represented Scotland at Under 19 and A level before being called upto Scotland's senior squad for the 2011 Six Nations. Cuthbert did not make an appearance during the Championship but he was named in Andy Robinson's provisional 40-man squad for the World Cup.
Cuthbert made his Scotland debut off the bench against Ireland in their first World Cup warm-up match in August 2011.
