Wales take on Canada for the 10th time at the Millennium Stadium on Friday night and will be favourites to extend their all-time winning record. Both sides come into the contest on the back of defeats - the hosts having lost 20-15 to South Africa last weekend while the tourists were hammered 55-0 at the hands of Ireland. Wales have won nine of their previous meetings, most recently during the 2007 Rugby World Cup, while Canada have notched just one success - a narrow two-point win on Welsh soil in 1993 when a Gareth Rees' last-gasp conversion secured a 26-24 success for the visitors. The sides first met in 1987 during the inaugural Rugby World Cup in New Zealand where Wales ran out winners 40-9 at Rugby Park. And their biggest victory in the series came in 2006 at the Millennium Stadium when the hosts secured a 61-26 victory. Their latest encounter took place at Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes during the pool stages of last year's global showpiece where Wales overcame a half-time deficit to record a 42-17 victory thanks largely to two tries from Shane Williams and others from Sonny Parker and Alun Wyn-Jones.
