Western Province rookie Nick Koster has become the latest name added to the Barbarians' ranks for their December 3 showdown with Australia at Wembley.

19-year-old back-row Koster has had an impressive Currie Cup campaign, and caught the eye of Baa Baa's coach Jake White with some dynamic displays while the Springboks were competing in the Tri-Nations. Back-to-back try-scoring appearances against the Lions and Sharks announced the young Koster as a talent for the future.

Koster is excited at the opportunity, although his selection was a surprise, "I always thought it would be a wonderful experience towards the end of my career. It came much earlier than I could have hoped." he told Die Burger newspaper. "I feel really privileged and am very excited."

Koster will join up with an all-star cast for the match to commemorate the centenary of the 1908 London Olympics. World Cup-winning coach Jake White will be calling on the services of Springboks Percy Montgomery, Schalk Burger and Jean De Villiers, while All Blacks Joe Rococoko, Jerry Collins and skipper Richie McCaw will also don the famous shirt alongside Wallaby legend George Gregan.
