Leinster hooker Sexton to join Rebels in 2014
January 24, 2013

Melbourne-born hooker Tom Sexton has signed with the Rebels for the 2014 season.

Sexton, 23, has played all of his rugby with Leinster in Ireland after leaving Australia when he was four.

"I am really looking forward to it," Sexton said.

"I am obviously a little bit nervous about moving to the other side of the world again, but it is definitely very exciting. I have kept a close eye on Super Rugby, particularly in Melbourne with the Rebels because it was where I was born."

The former Ireland Schoolboys captain is looking forward to the challenge of Super Rugby.

"With the likes of Wallabies James O'Connor, Kurtley Beale and Nick Phipps now playing for the Rebels, I can't wait to be part of it," he said.
