Australian entertain South Africa at the ANZ Stadium in Sydney this weekend looking to extend their recent dominance over their Tri-Nations rivals. The Wallabies have won three out of the last four meetings between the sides with their most recent success an historic 49-31 victory in Bloemfontein last year. Australia have also won all four previous games at Saturday's venue with a late try from Mat Rogers and cool conversion from Stirling Mortlock just enough to claim a narrow 20-18 win in 2006. However, the Springboks hold the historical advantage over the Wallabies with 41 Test victories to their rivals' 29 since their first meeting in Sydney in 1921 - won 25-10 by the visitors. The Boks' record in Sydney as a whole is a little more favourable with six wins out of 13 matches but the last of those wins was a 19-12 success at the Sydney Football Stadium in 1993. Australia are the current holders of the Nelson Mandela Plate - named after South Africa's former president who turned 93 this week - thanks to their two victories in their three Tri-Nations clashes last year.
