Western Force prop Pekahou Cowan will miss the remainder of the Super Rugby season with a broken cheekbone.
The 24-year-old suffered the injury in the opening minutes of the Force's 13-13 draw with the Brumbies in Perth on Saturday. Subsequent scans revealed the severity of the injury and he will now miss the Force's remaining four fixtures.
The Force depart on their two match tour of New Zealand on Tuesday with matches against the Hurricanes and Highlanders before returning to Australia for matches against the Reds in Perth and the Rebels in Melbourne.
