Tiesi signs new Falcons deal

Argentina centre Gonzalo Tiesi has signed a new two-year deal with the Newcastle Falcons.
Tiesi, who has 37 caps for the Pumas, has established himself as a first-team regular at the Falcons and is looking forward to helping the club grow next season.
"Newcastle Falcons is a big club and I have been impressed with Dean's vision for the future," Tiesi said. "The Aviva Premiership is the most competitive league in Europe. Newcastle and the North East in general is a great place to live - the whole region is passionate about sport and I'm excited at the challenges that lie ahead for the club."
Hooker Matt Thompson has also signed on and with Scott MacLeod also re-committed to the Falcons for a further year, Richards is delighted with their loyalty.
"After Scott MacLeod re-signed last night, it is great to see two more commit their futures to the club," Richards said. "Gonzalo and Matt are talented individuals and bring a wealth of experience to the table which is vital in the Aviva Premiership."
