Fernandez plied his trade for amateur side Hindu Club in the 2010-11 season but made the switch to Top 14 side Montpellier in time for the 2011-12 campaign. Having established himself as a solid option at fly-half or centre, Fernandez has been linked to a move to South Africa but his commitment to Montpellier has put that rumour firmly on the back-burner.
Fernandez will go to the World Cup as part of the Pumas' 30-man squad.
