The scrap to avoid relegation from the Aviva Premiership and the battle for the final play-off berth are both set to shown live on TV on the final day of the season.

Premiership Rugby have confirmed that basement side Newcastle's clash with relegation-threatened London Wasps on May will be shown live on ESPN while Northampton's bid to cement fourth place against Worcester Warriors the same day will be broadcast by Sky Sports. All games in the final round of the regular season will kick off at 2pm.

Premiership Rugby chiefs have also confirmed the play-offs will see the first-placed side meet the fourth and second play third. The winners will progress to the final on Saturday May 29 at Twickenham Stadium.

The method of separating clubs should they finish level on points has also been confirmed. The first differentiator will be who has won more matches and should that be the same as well then it will be the points difference. In the unlikely event that too is identical, then the side scoring the most points will be placed higher.
