London Wasps have announced the capture of Italian prop Fabio Staibano ahead of next season.

The 11-cap prop arrives at Adams Park from Aironi and has previously turned out for Castres in the past. Staibano is relishing the chance to turn out for Wasps and coach Dai Young has earmarked a specific area of their play where he hopes the prop can make an impact.

"We feel we've made real progress with our set-piece in the past season and we hope Fabio can help us continue to improve in that area," Young said. "He has solid international experience and we're looking forward to welcoming him to the club over the summer."

Elsewhere in the Premiership, Newcastle Falcons have confirmed the signing of Harlequins flanker Chris York on a two-year deal with the Falcons going on to say that they are expecting to make more announcements concerning signings and the coaching set-up in the following weeks.
