Gloucester winger Charlie Sharples has a rising reputation as one of the Aviva Premiership's most exciting talents.
Selected to play for England U-20s in the 2010 Six Nations, the youngster was pulled from the squad and selected for the senior side and went on to make nine first team appearances, scoring a memorable debut try against Bath. He played for England at the Junior World Championships later that season after his score was shortlisted for the Premiership try of the year.
Sharples enjoyed a sensational 2010-11 season, winning the Anglo-Welsh Cup in the process, and managed to cross the line seven times in the Premiership for Gloucester.
His form led to a Churchill Cup call-up where he excelled, scoring two tries in the process. On June 20, Sharples was named in England's 45 man training squad for the 2011 World Cup and he was given his debut in the warm-up clash with Wales at Twickenham on August 6.
He missed the final cut for England's World Cup squad but started the season in fine form for Gloucester and realised his huge potential with a call up to the squad for the 2012 Six Nations. And Sharples was awarded his first start for England against France after David Strettle was forced to withdraw.
