New Zealand will face Canada for the fifth time when they meet in the Pool A clash in Wellington on Sunday.
The All Blacks have won all four previous encounters against Canada. The countries met for the first time in the 1991 World Cup pool stages with New Zealand running out 29-13 winners. John Timu scored two tries while Zinzan Brooke, John Kirwan and Bernie McCahill also crossing for the All Blacks.
Since then the All Blacks have racked up the points against the Canucks. New Zealand's winning margin has been more than 50 in the last three fixtures between the two nations. In April 1995 the All Blacks amassed 73 points with Steve Bunce, Marc Ellis and Glen Osbourne all touching down twice.
Eight years late the sides met again in the pool stages of the 2003 Rugby World Cup. And it was a similar result. The All Blacks ran out 68-6 victors in Melbourne with Mils Muliaina scoring four tries in the match. The last time they faced each other was in June 2007 when Dan Carter scored 29 points, with a hat-trick of tries and seven conversions, in a 64-13 victory for the All Blacks.
